Creake Abbey

Creake Abbey, with its atmospheric Augustinian priory ruins, is home to a variety of boutique shops, artiststudios and the Creakey. Surrounded by ancient water meadows, with footpaths heading north and south, it is a great place to shop, relax, paint and visit year round.

The shops include Christopher William Country – country clothing, shooting wear, gifts and accessories, Home by Annie Lambert – Continental and UK antiques and objets d’art, Six Appleyard – an award winning hair salon, Fineline Frames – bespoke picture framer and gallery and Utopia – The Unexpected Gallery with unique interior pieces. The Café is open from 8.30am, 7 days a week serving great breakfasts, excellent coffee, seriously good lunches and afternoon teas with homemade cakes. The Food Hall includes a fine butchery, superb cheese counter, great charcuterie, and homemade meals to take-away, fresh produce, staples, wines and beers.

Special events include the award winning Farmers Market on the 1st Saturday of every month featuring 45 producers and an annual Plant Lovers Day – a must see for gardening enthusiasts.
